Vitalant (formally Blood Source) – Current
Ray Ward has been serving on the Community Leadership Council for Vitalant where we discuss how to ensure the needed blood supply for the community. During the pandemic, this has been very important since the donors had been nervous, and the conventional way of collecting from donors had to be modified or put on hold. One area that was especially impacted was the number of high schools student donors who were greatly reduced since they were not in school; even with their return, the donations have not picked up to previous levels.
