Ray Ward is a businessperson, a community volunteer, and more importantly a father. During his daughter's time in the San Juan Unified School District, he was able to participate in multiple science camps and field trips. He learned that the district is doing a good job for many students but he believes we should be doing a great job for all the students.

Ray Ward is running for the San Juan Unified School District Board because he believes we need leadership to find innovative solutions that will increase the education experience for our beneficiaries, the students. His belief is that his unique set of skills that focus on results attained by working collectively with various groups will provide those solutions.
